Keely was just 13 when doctors found a tumour on her brain. What followed was years of appointments, hospital admissions and chemotherapy, without the clear diagnosis or treatment plan Keely and her mum, Cathy, desperately needed.
After three years of chemotherapy that hadn’t worked, Cathy began searching for the ‘gold standard’ in cancer care. That search brought them to The Wesley Hospital.
Keely’s medical team carefully monitored the tumour and detected a tiny but life-threatening change. They acted urgently, guiding Keely through two more brain surgeries and 14 doses of radiation therapy.
Cathy says the care, commitment and expertise of Keely’s Wesley team kept her alive. Today, Keely is healthy and living life to the fullest, with the continued care and support of the team who helped save her life.
